Nothing says Christmas like a box full of Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes.
They’re sweet, and creamy, coated in that delightful, waxy vanilla frosting that melts in your mouth, and finishes with that crunch that only green sugar crystals can provide.
And this year, Little Debbie’s Big Pack of the iconic cakes packs a Christmas present of its own – at least it does if you’re like me and don’t read the packaging carefully.
I cracked open the box expecting to find a plethora of tiny trees, but instead, was greeted by a stack of nearly hand-sized wedges.
Inside were mammoth trees – about a third of a snack cake larger than the traditional ones.
Finally, an unexpected TREAT in 2020!
However, these big ones look more like an arrowhead than a Christmas tree. They’re missing the branches too! And without all those nooks and crannies on the sides, that waxy frosting just doesn’t hit the same.
At the end of the day though, no matter which tree you choose, it will still be a piece of edible nostalgia that taste like Christmases past.
Unless you’re one of those anti-Little Debbie folks, that is, then it probably tastes like that horrible sweater you never asked grandma for but were forced to wear anyway because she gave it to you as a gift. But even if you are one of THOSE folks, we hope you have a Merry Forking Christmas!
